Oh Yes!

As a kid, Fruity Pebbles, Cookie Crisp and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereals were breakfast staples. I didn't fall for the Raisin Bran sun pushing his two scoops or special K with its...K. I needed sugar when I woke up and these did the job and did the job well. However, somewhere in the mid to late 80's when sugar-conscious moms got their way, the Cookie Crisp formula changed and I fell off the wagon. No longer the sugary rush needed to run my mornings, I began to dabble in the wheats and corns. Chex, Life, Kix, Muslix...you name it, I tried it. I've managed to stay out of the sugared cereals since, however, there was a small incident when Reese's Puffs cereal was introduced a few years back. My vice today - Raisin Branch Crunch. Yes, getting old is sad, and full of fiber.

On another cereal-related note, a few years back I was determined to start a collection of old nostalgic cereal boxes, but luckily the prices and the frustration of finding ones I liked kept me at bay. But no more, they're here! General Mills just released a series of limited edition vintage cereal boxes for five favorites: Kix, Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams, Honey Nut Cheerios and Wheaties. They are truly amazing, with Kix and Wheaties being my favorites. I found them at Target, but not sure if they're available elsewhere.

Those cereal boxes are super cool. It's nice that a large corporation would have an appreciation for, or at least recognition of the desire for, nostalgia.

That is way cool. I recently found this cereal art piece in the back of my closet. Cereal brings me back to the good ole' days. I love your store!
